Secretariat communication record
On the evening of Friday 3 July 2026, with most people already in holiday mode, a reception in Warsaw held under the name “Turkish Coffee and Business” drew nearly 70 business executives, diplomats and institutional leaders. Its purpose was to launch the POLISH TURKISH BUSINESS COMMUNITY, a LinkedIn group for C-level executives and specialists whose work runs along the Poland–Türkiye corridor. The main organiser was Teoman Corp, a TURKPOL member company; TURKPOL was a supporting organisation, represented at president or vice-president level.

Who was there, in a public capacity
The Türkiye–Poland Parliamentary Friendship Group was represented by its Chairman, Mr Ferhat Nasıroğlu. The visiting parliamentary delegation also included Mr Zeki Korkutata, Mr Arslan Tatar, Mr İshak Şan, Prof. Dr. Erol Keleş and Prof. Dr. Veysel Ayhan. Commercial Counsellors Ms Nevra Genç and Mr Can Berat Özer attended, as did chambers of commerce and business organisations represented at president or vice-president level:
- Krajowa Izba Gospodarcza, the Polish Chamber of Commerce
- TURKPOL, the Polish–Turkish Culture and Cooperation Association
- Polish-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce
- Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce
- Polish-Canadian Chamber of Commerce
- TIMU Polish-Kenyan Chamber of Commerce
- NRW.Global Business
Other guests attended in a private capacity and are not listed here.
Fifteen billion, and then thirty
The exchange that shaped the evening was short. Mr Nasıroğlu set out a roadmap towards EUR 15 billion in bilateral trade volume between the two countries. Mr Andrzej Szumowski, Vice President of Krajowa Izba Gospodarcza, answered that Poland and Türkiye should not settle for 15 and should be working towards 30, pointing to the depth of the historical and commercial bonds between them.
Both numbers are the stated ambitions of the men who stated them. TURKPOL records the exchange because it took place, not as a projection of its own; the association publishes no trade forecasts.
Why the association turns up
An evening of this kind is not, in itself, a result. What it leaves behind is a group of people who now recognise one another — the cheapest starting point there is for a cross-border transaction. TURKPOL attends because its members, individuals, students and companies, are already working in both directions, and because an association is judged on what it does between such evenings rather than at them: keeping Polish institutions and Turkish companies reachable to one another through the ordinary months.
Companies that would like to be part of that network can apply for membership or write to the association. More about TURKPOL is on our about page, and our institutional relationships are listed under partners.
