23 April in Gdańsk: a Children's Day picnic and a school visit
TURKPOL's Tri-City branch celebrated National Sovereignty and Children's Day with a picnic for members and families in Gdańsk, and presented Türkiye at a local school.
On Sunday 23 April 2023 TURKPOL's Tri-City branch held a picnic in Gdańsk for National Sovereignty and Children's Day, the Turkish holiday dedicated to children, bringing together members, families and the wider Turkish community of the Tri-City.
In the days around the holiday the branch also visited II Podstawowo-Gimnazjalny Zespół Szkół Społecznych STO, a school in Gdańsk, where its members gave the pupils a presentation about Turkish culture, history and Türkiye, and served Turkish sweets to pupils and teachers. The branch planned more visits of this kind to Polish schools.
