Secretariat communication record

TURKPOL took part in “Türkiye–Poland Trade Delegation & B2B Meetings”, held on 1 September 2026 at the Presidential Hotel in Warsaw, and on the preceding day hosted its own market briefing for the visiting Turkish delegation.

The briefing on 31 August

On 31 August, in Warsaw, the association held a preliminary market information meeting for the incoming Turkish trade delegation. The session was a briefing on the Polish market, held ahead of the official B2B day. The group photograph shows about two dozen participants at the long boardroom table, with the flags of Poland and Türkiye behind them.

The official programme on 1 September

The 1 September event was organised by the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) and the Central Anatolian Exporters’ Associations (OAİB), under the coordination of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, together with the Polish Chamber of Commerce (Krajowa Izba Gospodarcza). TURKPOL attended as a participant; the association was not among the organisers.

Opening speeches ran from 09:00 to 10:00 and were delivered, in order, by:

  • Mrs Sevda Kayhan Yılmaz, Head of Delegation, Vice Chairperson of the Central Anatolian Exporters’ Associations (OAİB) and President of the Turkish Machinery Exporters’ Association
  • Mr Andrzej Szumowski, Vice President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce
  • H.E. Rauf Alp Denktaş, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Warsaw

A gift presentation ceremony and a group photograph followed the speeches. Bilateral B2B meetings then ran in the Baltic rooms from 10:00 to 12:30 and, after lunch, from 13:30 to 17:00, before a delegation dinner in the evening.

According to TİM, the Assembly as a whole brings together 61 Exporters’ Associations covering 27 sectors.

Why the association does this work

TURKPOL, the Polish–Turkish Culture and Cooperation Association (Stowarzyszenie Kultury i Współpracy Polsko-Tureckiej TURKPOL), is a membership association based in Warsaw and registered under KRS 0000633778. Its members are individuals, students and companies, and it connects the Turkish business and professional community in Poland with Polish institutions.

A delegation’s visit is short. Explaining one market to the other is continuous work, and it is done locally, by people who live here. That is why the association held a briefing before the meetings began, and why it supports the work of chambers, associations and public institutions rather than duplicating it.

Companies and professionals who would like to be part of that work can read about membership, see what is planned on our events page, or write to us.
